I was running late for my first assignment for my school Magazine today. All because I was in quite abit of a dilemma, trying to decide whether to drive or to simply go with the public transport. So the Press confrence was at 10am and 9:40am I was still at home. So guess which one I chose at the end? Yup, with a parking bill of $8.25!
So all in all, I reached there on time! Thank God, there were very little journalists when I reach but slowly the crowd pulled in. So while I was waiting I tried to settle down and reach out for some refreshments and Coffee! It was starbucks that they cater by the way; Nostalgia that is.
This press is about a new game that will be coming out this November and just for the record the graphic are really good and cool. So when Its time to go in all of the other journalist rushed in and some of the journalist from a more establist games magazine were rather nonsensical and weird. So I wasn't surprise to find myself really really different from the rest, in terms of style and passion of course. These guys are quite N.e.r.d.y thats all. (:
The producer steps in and he had a type of air that floats around him? The gamer's air? So looking real friendly Tom Farrer from Stockholmes steps up to give a presentation on his latest production. He was one of the makers of batterfield and Yup he work for D.I.C.E.
So after that we proceed to try on the game and wow, it was quite cool and I was thinking of actually buying it and trying it out. So thats how interesting the game is, As a non-gamer like me was drawn to it.
The story revolves around a lady heroin named Faith and she lives in a gleaming city where the goverment pretty much provide a very awesome place for the residents to live in? However underneath those blissfulness and safe environment the goverment had to screen throught all information that is being pass from people to people and I believe ordinary will be charge for crimes they did not commit just to cover up some of the things the goverment were doing.
So the non-comformist did not want the police to go through their every information that were being passed around. Because some information may be anti-goverment and they will get into real trouble if they do get caught. So people hire runners which is the very people that helped deliver the information to one another. Faith is one of them, So now her sister is being charged for crime she did not commit so faith is out to rescue her.
After which we have a round table interview with Tom and I manage to post some rather relevant questions to him and they you go, this was my day as a journalist for OOPS! very good exposure though, So yup!
